Focus group 1
Operations and best practices
The focus group is working to develop shareable management and operating models for the competence centers, stimulate cross-border cooperation on the operation of the competence centers, and develop shared guidelines and strategies for handling IPR.
Focus group 2
Outreach and events
The focus group is working to organize webinars and info days on relevant topics within the EU Chips Act. aCCCess also organizes an annual event that will be a meeting place for the stakeholders of the competence centers. Focus group 2 is working to build a common communication strategy to have a unified message for all competence centers.
Focus group 3
Common technology offers
The focus group is working to harmonize technology offerings in the network of competence centers and for common models and methods, as well as cooperation across borders. Through cooperation with Focus Group 1, the development of guidelines and strategies around the handling of IPR is an important topic.
Focus group 4
Training and skills development
The focus group is working to roll out initiatives within education and upskilling. Shared models and methods for the competence centres within education and upskilling, as well as collaboration across borders, are something the focus group is working towards.
Focus group 5
Finance
The focus group works to promote access to capital via the Chips Finance Lab and Venture Capital matchmaking. As in the other focus groups, there is also a focus on developing common models and methods for the competence centers, as well as collaboration across national borders.
The european network of chips competence centre, aCCCess (Alliance of Chips Competence Centres for Enhanced Semiconductor Services), is a four-year coordination and support action launched in March 2025 under the EU Chips Act.
aCCCess aims to build a strong, interconnected network of chips competence centres, which CC-NorChip is a part of, to enable innovation, facilitate access to advanced semiconductor services, and strengthen Europe's position in the global semiconductor value chain.
